A triumph of 100% Made in Italy flavors has welcomed the main influencers of the agri-food sector at the « Ospitalità Italiana - Lo Stivale » restaurant in Toulouse. Objective: drawing the attention of the 20 guests, and of the public opinion, on the Italian Sounding phenomenon, to show that quality makes the difference. It has been a double tribute : to Bologna, whose gastronomic tradition was enhanced by chef Michel Basaldella, and to Toulouse, twinned with the city of Emilia.

The menu ranged from mortadella to boiled meat, through a crescentina cream of asparagus, typical of Toulouse, and passatelli with cream of mountain parmesan, to end with a tasting of three types of parmesan 34 months and a maraschino rice cake. For each course, its wine. The enologist Marco Li Calzi accompanied the gourmet proposals with a selection of bottles from small Italian producers: Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce, respectively for the starter, the first dish and the cheese tasting ; Sangiovese di Romagna PDO for the meat and Malvasia "Formosa" for the dessert.

The Welcome drink? An opportunity for an exchange of questions and answers with Antonella Donadio, Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for France in Marseille (CCIFM).
